Background

After 17 years of being one of the most loved community fundraisers in Greenville, SC, Quacky was looking for a new look. The Reedy River Duck Derby decided to rebrand with some bolder colors and more elements that would help their brand reach various platforms and mediums more easily.

Client: Rotary Club of the Reedy River Greenville

The Challenge

Develop a logo and elements that could be used across a variety of platforms from digital social media and television to bus shelter signs and t-shirts. The Rotary Club also felt that their Duck Derby messaging lacked awareness that it was actually organized by a Rotary Club, creating a missed opportunity for membership growth.

 

The Solution

The duck is iconic so Quacky just got a minor facelift to make it feel more contemporary. The Liberty Bridge is also iconic to the Derby so that element was also needed. Adding in the “Rotary Club of the Reedy River” was a tertiary element that also needed to be included. 

The colors became more bold and the graphic elements were developed to be able to be utilized on television, social media, and other marketing platforms independently with the same brand recognition.
